TX-28 & TX-34 is more of Trump effect. They voted for Beto over Abbott, but immigration and BP jobs are big down there.

Not only that, the Dem states are already gerrymandered to the hilt. They're not going to squeeze much more blood out of existing maps.

I also find it ironic that some are saying Texas is in danger of flips with the redrawn maps when it's California that's much more vulnerable to their tactics back-firing.

Clarification: I should have said the entirety of the redistricting portion of Section 2. No one is suing to abolish all of Section 2.
