Geez Hawg, don't hold back on the hate.

But though it is an amusingly inconsequential thing, it's shown clearly that the hate of Trump leaves no crisis too small to make a big deal over.

We're all suffering from hate fatigue on here. Their hatred of all things Trump is exhausting.

I think this thread is a perfect encapsulation of the left. They are so lost as a party that their only recourse is to ridicule Trump, it's their only true unifier.

Think about it, they are so fractured now as a party, as their pyramid scheme of victimhood is crashing down, that any tiny morsel of Trump perceived missteps can instantly galvanize them.

They can collectively exhale once they perceive that they are still the party of righteousness until it all comes crashing down and they desperately look for the next Trump faux pas they call rally around.

It's amazing too because the ridicule hasn't been warranted. There were known issues to fight after the pool was sealed. A bigger issue has been deliberate vandalism to wreck the project which was written off by the gleeful algae left as science fiction... except it isn't.

The left needs to reevaluate who their bedfellows are and what to be leftist now is because it keeps on stretching more and more insanely left.

And to think that all of this was way under budget with the purpose of beautification of our monuments to celebrate and enjoy our 250th birthday. The outrage and celebrations in opposition when things arent perfect is disturbing. Love America, it's your country!

It's why I rarely criticize Trump or acknowledge some of the legit issues.

The Hate America folks never let up on Trump. If they did, we could have cordial discussions on procurement practices, qualifications, construction defects, warranty and the like.

But they go so full tilt on anything Orange Man Bad that it's better to just stick to supporting Trump as if he could do no wrong.

And for those who may think Hate America was just something I was making up, the All of Us 250 bills itself as being "anti-patriotic" and celebrating interdependence not independence.

They literally hate America.

UPDATE per Truth Social:

The pond has been temporarily repaired and is full of fresh, clean water with no leaks. After the July 4th festivities, it will be drained and repaired properly.

Thank you Mr. President Trump for your attention to this matter.

The reflecting pool is concrete basin with a rubberized painted-on membrane... aka a vinyl pool. Unless they chemically treat the water - like a pool, it will always have naturally occurring algae. It will never be "American Flag Blue" without constant maintenance - like a pool, but yuger.

I get along with people who love or at the very least respect our Country. I am vehemently against those who hate it.

People need to look in the mirror and decide which side to be on.

It's a big open tent to join, but violence, hate and disdain for our Country has no place and is not welcome.

I agree with you on principle, but unfortunately your definition of people who hate the country seems to be anyone who expresses an opinion about it that contradicts yours.

Fiscal Liberalism has proven to be a massive failure.

Anyone desiring that isn't thinking of the health of the country, as such.

Here are some positions that I would consider people who hate the country to hold. See if any sound familiar to your party.

Open borders
Men in women's sports
Trans kids
Tax the rich
Socialism
Abortion on demand for everyone
Black lives matter
Defund the police
No one should be a billionaire
No one should be a trillionaire
What is a woman?
Cow farts cause global warming
White people are evil
Guns are evil
Christians are evil
Muslims are good
Diversity is our strength
You didn't earn that
Kneeling for the national anthem

In addition, 90% of republicans take pride in America compared to 35% of democrats.

In 2022 it was 83% of republicans and 31% of democrats. So even when your party is getting all the Hope and change you can handle you still can't find any patriotism in your heart.

So spare me the BS about your side loving the country and just not seeing eye to eye on how to run it. You guys hate what America stands for and actively try to destroy it. You are the enemy within and FTC is 100% spot on being opposed to everything your party stands for.

Explain to me where the left takes any nuance on anything. Your last presidential candidate couldn't say that she was opposed to abortions at 9 months. That's not nuance, that's evil.

Pick any item on my list and explain to me the subtle nuance of the democrat position that I'm too dumb to understand. Then explain the nuance in the polling I ended with.

JFK's party had nuance
Bill Clinton's party had nuance.
The current left hates America and actively supports her enemies. No nuance about it.

And there you have it, the playbook the left has used for decades. We just want some nuance on the subject.

Can't we discuss increasing the number of migrants on work furloughs to help keep the price of food down? Reality - OPEN F***ING BORDERS

Can't we be more inclusive to the LGBTQ community?
Reality - Drag queen story hour at Elementary Schools.

Can't we compromise on certain cases of abortion like rape and incest?
Reality - 3rd term abortions and even post birth in some cases.

I could go on and on but the bottom line is there is NO ROOM for 'nuance" with the left because as soon as you seize power all the nuance goes right out the window.

We're done playing that game. Either recognize what your party has devolved into and wise up or keep your head in the sand.

Careful with the "Your". I'm not a democrat. However, to appease you... Loving America does not require loving everything its government does, agreeing with every tradition, or surrendering your political beliefs to the Republican Party.

Your list is mostly a collection of strawmen. Democrats do not support "open borders," believe all white people or Christians are evil, or think "Muslims are good" as some monolithic group. Taxing billionaires is not the same as hating capitalism. Supporting police reform is not the same as hating police. Criticizing America is not the same as wanting to destroy it. In fact, the ability to criticize our government, protest, question authority and demand that the country live up to its stated principles is about as American as it gets.

The polling does show a major partisan difference (in pride, which is statedly different than "Loving your country"), but even your numbers are wrong. In 2022, 84% of Republicans and 52% of Democrats said they were extremely or very proud to be American, not 83% and 31%. The 31% figure was Democrats who were "extremely proud" in 2021. In 2025, the numbers were 92% and 36%.

More importantly, pride fluctuates depending on who controls the government and what is happening in the country. Republican pride has also fallen when Democrats held the presidency. Satisfaction with the current government for does not equal love of the country itself.

Patriotism is not "America is perfect, my party represents America, and everyone who disagrees is the enemy within." That is nationalism and tribalism.

You do not get to declare yourself the sole owner of America and then call half of your fellow citizens traitors for disagreeing with you. America belongs to them too.

You're monolithing.. in 2022, per PEW, 59% of Democrats wanted to increase security at the southern border. In 2023, per Gallup, 72% described immigration as a crisis or major problem. In 2026, a Harvard CAPS/Harris poll reportedly found 71% of Democrats supported deporting undocumented immigrants who had committed crimes, while 37% supported deporting all undocumented immigrants.

So to say that all want "open borders" is vastly untrue

Voting for something is the most direct and resolute form of support you can give it. These people can say they are Bible toting Puritans, but if they vote for evil cretins who import millions of third worlders in an effort to reshape this country, then they directly supported these actions. Also, EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT SENATOR supports biological men in womens' sports, showers and locker rooms. This is no secret. So you can say you are against these things, but if you vote democrat, you are in literal support of men in my daughter's sports and locker rooms. This makes you the direct enemy of me and my offspring. I don't care if they are 14 or 18 or 35...if I ever see a mentally ill cross dresser in my daughter's bathroom or other place designated for females, I am tuning them up...I've been waitng for the opportunity.

If Donald Trump or Senator Cruz supported locking up the gays or trans, and I voted for them, I, and others like me, would be DIRECTLY responsible if that ever became policy.

Make sense?
