Crazy that AI says that CS inspections and codes are onerous.
I've seen people on here say "CS is no different than any other city when it comes to new businesses."
A buddy in town said that the city of CS was horrible to work with when he built his office with different departments giving conflicting code requirements. I heard the exact same thing from another friend who has been going through the process. I don't think that's unique to CS. However, that same friend's company got their loan through a commercial lender that does business all over the state and the lender told them that CS and one other city in Texas were the two worst they've ever dealt with. I don't recall what the other city was.
What I've found is there are lots of different departments that seemingly operate independently and do a poor job of communicating between one another. I've been on countless merry-go-round phone calls of each department telling me to call the other.
That said, there are good people within each department.
The process is generally much smoother with Bryan.
