Over 70% of black children are raised in single parent households.
Goodness. We had a few friends who were raised exclusively by their working mothers in school in the 90's, but they were the exception, and the overall structure of a father-prevalent-community was there for them. You don't necessarily need fathers in every household to have a good, orderly community, just the vast majority.
But when you have entire communities where fathers and male role models are almost non-existent, you are sure to have violence, degeneracy and chaos. And generational regression.
What makes that stat really crazy, is think of all of the middle and upper-middle income black families out there. Quite a few out here in Cypress. Your stat captures that...so you can only imagine what the number is in poor urban communities. Wouldn't be surprised if it's like 80+%.
