Know it was just an exhibition game but Bryant looks nba ready.

Watched about 2 and a half quarters tonight against the heat. Really love how aggressive Kornet is on the offensive glass. 7 offensive rebounds, and kept possessions alive with tips outs.

Right now it's really difficult to evaluate the team since they are playing without a PG but overall, they look good. Getting rid of the rust and getting in game shape seem to be the primary goals.
Hard to experiment with lineups when you're missing such a big part of the rotation.

The first thing i thought when we got Kornet was he would be perfect for when Wemby goes to the bench. But he might be even more valuable in a lineup WITH Victor. Kornet is going to open up a lot. Now we just need our shooters to step up and this offense could be something really special.

Really enjoying watching Harper. He seems to be making the right reads and really communicating on both ends of the court.

I know it is Utah and the preseason, but he's gonna be so good.

Lots to be happy about last night.

DJG took over in overtime. He was just a bucket. More points than minutes. 20/5/4 in 17 minutes.

In OT, Carter Bryant had a fantastic block at the rim where he leveled up went across the top and got the ball, even though it was really well protected on the far side. 7' wingspan and 40" vertical is going to give people problems. There was also a floater that Bryant tried to help on where he jumped up from the far side of the paint and his finger tips were about 2-3" above the square. Almost had it. Sean Elliott was going wild for his boy.

Bryant didn't have the best night shooting, but how about with 25 second left and down by 2, he just takes the ball down and drills a three? Ice in his veins.



Devin was on the money.

Wemby looks great. Is that a little 7'5 hesi added to the arsenal?

Kornet looks great and he is going to clean the glass, especially on offense.

Unbelievably long defensively, but the spacing on offense would lead to some real problems. KD is a <40% 3 point shooter and Jabari Smith Jr. is ~35%, but no one else in that lineup is over 30%. Hard for Sengun to work down low or for Thompson to drive to the rim when you don't have shooters to keep the defense honest.

His defense has been good here. Around the 5min mark trapped Mathurin on the baseline and forced the bad pass. He's hustling around the court and getting back in transition. Not real worried about the bad shooting night if he is moving around like he is and not being a negative defensively.

Everyone else looks spectacular. Those two fouls on Castle were pretty awful. Foul for pulling the chair?

So how do we think we move minutes around. Harper certainly seems to be ready.

With Sochan out, it seems like the default starting lineup when Fox comes back will be Wemby - Barnes - Devin - Castle - Fox.

Harper has 11p 8a 2s in 19 minutes through three.

I think I stagger Wemby/Fox as much as possible so we always have a top 15 scorer on the floor. Also, Kornet is a pretty elite screener and he and Tatum were the best duo in the league last year or close to it.

Then we get a lot of minutes of Harper, Castle, Wemby.

You just rotate in the shooters around each group based on matchups. And hopefully my guy Carter Bryant is ready to take Julian/Olynyk minutes sooner rather than later.

Also tonight, Keldon is 5-5, 3-3, 1-1 (3pt play)
