Pretty sure the only thing stopping that Durant timeout from turning into game ending technical free throws was the refs looking the other way and swallowing their whistles.

The announcers phrased it that the referees don't have to acknowledge the timeout if they know there isn't a timeout to be used.

Personally, I think they would have blown the whistle given a few more seconds, but there was no time on the clock. Since the buzzer went off and they didn't technically do anything wrong, it was really convenient that the clock was so low and they just moved on.

If the refs were going to help anyone, I would have guessed the Thunder. This did not benefit the Thunder.

Tony Brothers seriously hates Kornet. Flagrant foul where Kornet blocked the shot. Delay of game when Kornet rolled it back to where it is inbounded after it hit his foot.
