Spurs have 10 assists on 11 FGs in the 1st quarter.

But Fox showing why we got him. You want a guy like him to have the ball in his hands at the end. He's got great handles and a huge bag to create points and draw fouls.

22: Sochan, Branham, Wesley. Maybe that's a single. Or a walk. Sochan is at least a rotational player, so it isn't an out. 20/20 Hindsight, that is Jalen Williams, Christian Braun and Nikola Jovic. Whatever. Wesley was getting rotational minutes for Portland this year before breaking his foot.

20: Vassell & Tre Jones. That's a double.
19: Samanic & Keldon. Keldon is kind of the soul of the locker room and is continually trying to get better. It's at least a single.

So for the last decade, that's pretty good overall. 14 first round picks, 9 rotational players plus bonus rotational 2nd rounder in Tre Jones. Plus used a 15th pick to get an unprotected 1st swap in 2030, unprotected 1st swap in 2031 and Harrison Barnes.

Of the non-rotational players:

1 was lottery pick - Primo at 12
3 were non-lottery mid-late first: Branham, Walker, Samanic.
1 is a rookie right now: Carter Bryant

I think that is a pretty damn good record overall. We just need to hit on some of these 2nd rounders and not waste them on guys like Ingram.

Fox forcing his way from being Batman to being Robin in the middle of his prime is wildly underrated. He came here to be #2, which is pretty incredible for a guy that has been All-NBA, CPOY, and the #1 guy for his entire career.

Asked Steph Castle what was going through his mind as he went hurtling headfirst over the scorers table for a loose ball last night:

"Save that mother(bleeper)."

He added he mistakenly though Vic was in the area to catch his save.

Not sure I'd call him a Spurs legend. He is an all timer for sure, but only played for the Spurs for one season at the end of his career.

He is a legend since on the team that tanked enough to get Timmy
