Because nobody on this team other than KD knows how to make a shot when teams actually put effort on defense. They are all scared to play against anybody trying. They can score plenty and make tons of shots when nobody tries on defense in the regular season. It's why we blew so many large leads in the 4th quarter this year. Teams actually put last ditch efforts on defense and then we crater.
That was literally just a strip all ball. Amen has been fouled 5 different times more than that with no call
LeBron, literally points at the ref and shows them up every time he doesn't get a call and they call a tech on Tate for just talking to him lol

For a team that supposedly has such as tough, hard nosed coach, they have a whole bunch of quit in them and never play as hard as the opposing team.

In this elimination game against Golden State, Green took 20 shots (14 from three)
Last year in the elimination game against GS he took just 7 shots, in spite of mostly being guarded by Steph (who is not a good defensive player).
This is not the same Green we had playing for us. I think he finally realizes the dream was about to come to an end if he didn't man up.

I shouldn't be surprised but I'm so sick of the overreaction game to game in the playoffs by the media. Bill Simmons Podcast talking like the Rockets are about to get swept and we should be the #1 team in the playoffs hitting the panic button if we get eliminated by the Lakers. He also started the pod comparing the Magic to the 2023 Heat who were an underdog and went to the Finals.
Should we be worried? Yes. But if we get KD back for the rest of the series, we'll be fine.

While I agree it feels slightly early to panic, Ime just said KD is a game time decision.

We went and grabbed Durant because we thought it would make us contenders. The only way that makes sense in the West is if we've got a better 2nd best player than a 41 year old.
If we don't, and the Lakers should be favored, then we need to quit pretending that we've got any untouchable players on this Rockets roster.
Donovan is out in Chicago…he should be #1 target if we lose in round 1
