Pretty frustrating to watch the Clippers blatantly break the signing rules for Kawhi and then still be able to get that haul for him. I don't feel like this would have been allowed for small market franchises.

I think Wade and Tobias are the guys that make the most sense. Cleveland is trying to clear salary to keep Wade and add Bron.

I thought Wade would be cheap in the 6-8M range, but people have been getting more money this year than I expected.

Should be interesting. Wade may not want to sign right away if Cleveland is getting LeBron, but also he can probably recognize the Cavs are severely flawed and he can win more in SA. He's from Kansas, so no ties to either area.

I don't keep up with all the cap wizardry stuff but this just seems like the media trying to juice Rui's value for the Lakers to do a sign and trade or something.

Based on the Knicks series I'm not sure how the front office would think Rui is the one to fill our needs.

Shooting certainly helps. But Spurs don't really care what the media says or does on this. His value is his value. I would imagine we have a value in mind for each player and slot and stick to it pretty well. Have to be disciplined in the apron era.

So what's the expected timeline here? I assume a flutter of activity tonight when it opens and then other players visiting or weighing options?

I would hope anyone wanting to be the missing link at PF on a title contender would jump on board pretty quickly.

If he wants to come here, you have to entertain it. We need a PF and experience.

I think he is probably spending most of his time playing golf and being checked out, so I dont know how distracting that will be. But he would certainly have a lot of knowledge to share with the kids similar to Chris Paul.

We do have an obviously good relationship with Klutch/Rich Paul. Keldon, Fox, Mitch, Sweeney. Spurs stood by Fox.

If LeBron wants to win, we make a lot more sense than GSW, Cleveland or Miami. Plus unlike Cleveland and Miami, we actually need a 6'9 250lb PF.

All the stuff that was agreed will flurry in the next hour or two.

No one can sign anything until July 6th at noon.

Restricted Free Agents previous teams will have 48 hours to match or decline. Most pertains to Kessler and Duren, but if someone signs Harrison Ingram to the MLE, we get a shot to match it.

Rich Paul's first statement was that LeBron was leaving the Lakers to be happy, not for money.

That says to me it is ****ing miserable to play with bums like Bronny and LeBron couldn't wait to get away.

It's possible playing with his friends is more important than playing for a ring, but you know he wants that 5th ring to tie Duncan, Magic, and Kobe.

If LeBron will sign for the MLE you absolutely have to do it. I would be all in, but it does cheapen the championship chase a little.

First time we role out a murder lineup of:

What if LeBron calls and says he'll take the full MLE for 4 years but the Spurs have to play out all of it and he's retiring after one year. Basically her him a Max and we have to deal with the Bron farewell tour
