Manny Ramirez is getting word out to all 30 teams he’d love to serve as an MLB hitting coach. “He wants to bring his greatness to teach the young guys,” his agent Hector Zepeda said. Credentials: 555 HRs, .312 BA, .996 OPS

Any of us on this thread could manage a team to the WS with an unlimited budget to spend on players.

I laughed at MLB Tonight before yesterday's game when they asked if Roberts was one of the greatest baseball managers.
LOL, what?!

The manager gets the credit for team success. The Dodgers have been the most successful team for the last decade+ if you count the 2020 season.

His job is certainly easier with all of that talent.
I will give Roberts some credit though for managing all of the egos. That is a tough part of the job and not everyone can do it.
But yeah, it's like being given a Porsche in a race against Nissan Maximas and asking if the guy who drives the Porsche is the best driver.

I think Roberts has come a long way from the guy in 2017. Sure, it's much easier to win a bunch when the GM just buys the best players, but that doesn't always work. They've dealt with a **** ton on injuries too. He's found a way to make it work without missing a beat.

It must be really difficult trying to figure out which top-of-the-rotation starter you would like to pitch every game. Dude hasn't improved since 2017; he just has an All Star team for a roster now.
The Astros are in agreement with right-handed pitcher Nate Pearson on a one-year, $1.35 million contract, pending physical, source tells @TheAthletic.

Extremely Dana Brown fingerprints here, as he loves to sign ex-top prospects/ex-1st round picks. https://t.co/WxctE64DtX
