That's what I was thinking too. My wife said she saw Snell smirking afterwards.

He knew it was going to be his last pitch either way and Varsho already had one dinger off him and took the previous 3-2 pitch deep but foul. Rather than give him another competitive pitch to drive, he just threw one at his head instead. He auditioning for a spot in Seattle's rotation next season?
