it doesn't look like they play much at all.Jim01 said:
I am a huge OLP fan and it's annoying that they always come through as an opener for (IMHO) lesser bands.
I remember driving from CS to San Antonio to watch APC in college in 2001.Mr. Awesome Time said:
A Perfect Circle is playing San Antonio at the end of April but no other Texas dates. Still need to see them as well.
I would be all over thisLandArchSA said:
APC, Puscifer, and Primus...missed out on decent tickets when they went on sale but trying to pick some up if wife and I can make the show
yep, live oak civic center iirc.LandArchSA said:
Was that the one that was in the Live Oak "Convention Center"? I vaguely remember hearing about that and wondered how the hell they booked a band like that.
I was at this show. Circa 2008 if I recall at Southside Ballroom and it was great. Unfortunately have schedule conflicts preventing me from seeing any of the Texas dates this go around.Mr. Awesome Time said:
Username checks out. I'll be at the Houston and Irving shows since Austin is on a Thursday night. Last time I saw MMJ in DFW, Erykah Badu joined the band for their cover of 'Tyrone'.
The new album is a little lacking for me being less than 40 minutes, but it's cool to hear em link up with a producer like Brendan O'Brien. There are only a couple skippers for me so far.
I was listening to the Lithium station on Sirius the other day and the host Grant Random said it was the best show he saw all of last year for whatever that's worth.Mr. Awesome Time said:
Pretty sure i saw Weezer and Tenacious D at Freeman way back when. I skipped the Sessanta tour here last year since I preferred to see APC and Puscifer as sole headliners, and I probably missed a great show regardless.
quick estimation, I've been to 300-400 shows in adulthood.HECUBUS said:
Awolnation next Monday at f'n Emos. Just got an email reminder. Had forgotten.
I'm seeing them in Denver at the summit.. capacity 900!LandArchSA said:
Okay...I'm way out of touch with the Austin venues. Had no idea that Emo's moved out of downtown a decade(?) ago?! I was confused how Awolnation was going to fit in that place.
Now that I'm caught up, the "new" Emo's venue still looks small, and to see Awolnation in that place for $42 seems like a steal. But a Monday night coming from out of town is a hard sell for olds like me...
