Can't lie, Muslim have been taking an ass whipping over the last few years. Imagine your religion being so bad it has literally pissed off the world. Not the 10% of the world the MSM across multiple countries lies to everyone about being like 70%. The Muslim problem will likely get politicians hung in some of these countries. Fathers don't like their daughters and wives raped by that Somalians that look like the future Senator from Minneapolis. The amount of money or minors these politicians had to screw to make this stuff happen is amazing to watch.

Many cities have taken RR right of way under eminent domain for parks and green spaces or simply to sell it for development that will grow the tax base.

A large portion of the potential for replacing trucks with railroad freight is not with the class 1 railroads but with "short line" railroads that serve niche markets carry heavy dense freight less than 100 miles from field, mine, or quarry to where it is processed into useful material. Short freight train with 10 cars still replace ~50 truck loads and drivers. The trucks being replaced are more likely dump trucks than semitrailers.

If this is true, then the right way to encourage short freight train lines is not by creating a per-mile tax on Trucks, or by eliminating the funding of toll roads.

The major point I made is that it is super, super stupid to oppose a toll road by pointing to unused railroad lines.

Railroads are working in places where they are economical. Don't try to get more rail lines by making other forms of transportation less economical. Very communist.
It takes a special kind of brainwashed useful idiot to politically defend government fraud, waste, and abuse.
