For one second just try to envision the response if it was a bunch of predominantly white conservatives causing comparable mayhem in American city streets. They would be declared "domestic terrorists" and the response would be tenfold...and likely far more violent. Punishments would be MUCH more severe.

Also, it is like these types of riots/protests are designed to turn people off to your movement. Imagine if blacks in the civil rights marches acted like this...how counterproductive and damaging to their movement it would be. The average American sees this is sh** and is terrrorized by the thought of something like this ever happening in their community...especially those with children. This thuggish violent response is shameful and disgusting, and it's funny watching white liberals on social media goaltend for it.

I don't have any issue with PEACEFUL protests. But the second someone oversteps that line, they should be immediately shot. Like all things if you let people get aaay with breaking the rules, others will immediately follow and keep escalating until the line is drawn and enforced. It's human nature.

I expect you'll see it here in TX. Austin, SA, Houston, Dallas… It's going to happen. Probably not to the extent you see in CA, but it will pop up here too.

As a veteran, I'll let y'all in on a little secret.

All those videos/photos you see of the military with magazines in their M4's looking like they are capable of shooting someone is a facade.

VERY likely they have EXACTLY 0 rounds of any kind. It is just for show. Been there done that. Not for riots, but other times.

The 2000 soldiers that were protecting federal buildings where from an Infantry Brigade. 2 Infantry BN, 1 Field Artillery, 1 Engineer, 1 Calvary, 1 Support. As far as I can tell there is no military police in the brigade.

More than likely only a handful, maybe none are really trained in riot control. Maybe they took a class or the like, but not hard core physical training for riots. Not to mention, they only train 2 days(usually) a month and 2 weeks a year. ~40 days a year training. There is not a lot of training that can be done in 2 days a month, especially when you have classes, and other non training events that need to happen on a drill weekend.

You don't want some 18 year old fresh out of boot camp/AIT to get overzealous or scared and possibly start shooting. THAT is why it is a facade.

I would suspect the military members could easily be overrun, if the rioters wanted. They likely have little in the way of actual weapons on them besides using their M4 as a club.
