APD Police Chief Lisa Davis held a press conference Tuesday to discuss arrests made by her department and the response to the protest. The department released the following list of the individuals it arrested in a news release:

  • Conor Williams (misdemeanor criminal mischief); Charges dropped due to insufficient probable cause
  • Abigail Pore (misdemeanor criminal mischief)
  • Alexandra Haddix (misdemeanor failure to obey a lawful order)
  • Cody Bates (felony harassment of a public servant)
  • Edgar Tovar (misdemeanor reckless driving)
  • Shaneal Harun (misdemeanor charges of riot and resisting arrest)

Doesn't matter what they charge them with, DA Garza will drop the charges sometime in the next week or so.

Gen X, a breakdown:

We see what tech has done to the kids that came after us. We had keys to the house at age seven. We got into fights at school and got detention. The belt was used. Most of us just point and laugh at these things.

The question is whether it happens in our lifetime. The only thing that changes it is a visionary leader like Reagan. I think DeSantis can be that person. Its not Trump unfortunately ... he's awesome, but not articulate enough to make democrats look stupid like Regan did (and DeSantis repeatedly does in Florida) and the media has ensured that he's irrationally hated by half the nation

Maybe I'm missing something. But if a president says "I'm deploying the NG because I think it's a rebellion" isn't that their prerogative? It's a political decision not a legal one. It's not Breyers job to make the decision that he thinks it's not one.

What is the penalty to him for doing it? Nothing. No sanctions, no impeachment. Why should he not do it if it is the only way his side can stop Trump? As long as nobody will hold the judges accountable (looking at you John Roberts) there is no disincentive for them. The district judges are the only kings right now.

They just announced that they're going to stop paying healthcare for illegals a few weeks ago. IMHO they were banking on Kamala winning and getting a bailout, but that's no longer the case.


ETA: I hope that Trump doesn't give them any money to rebuild the damage caused by these riots.
