yes, but for local Law Enforcement, it was too little too late and they admitted that they were "overwhelmed".

Local Law Enforcement appeared to be either unable or unwilling to protect ICE Agents. Local politicians were literally calling for MORE and CONTINUED "protesting".

Had Trump delayed calling in the National Guard, I believe there would have been some deaths of ICE agents.

When local and state governments are actively preventing law enforcement and calling for others to do the same, then it only makes sense to bring in more help.

In none of the clips I saw of Leftist politicians calling for more protests did I hear any one of them emphasize, or even mention, the need to do it peacefully and within the law.

The problem with these "random tweets" is they all are just repeating what started with a claim by a single account.

It makes it look like there are hundreds or more of people are all verifying the information, when in fact it is circular reporting. They'll all "verifying" one another by simply repeating the same claim. It is the same thing the media did during the Russian collusion hoax.

Despite his media rhetoric and stupid tweets, Newsom knows he's been played.

Trump calling in the National Guard and Marines to protect federal assets and personnel forced Newsom and Mayor Bass to ramp up police involvement to "prove" they didn't need help.

Last night, local LEO had a specific plan to peacefully disperse the crowds over a large area and were executing it properly. They used flash bangs and other non-lethal weapons to push people away from a central location and spread them out.

Without federal intervention, those local agencies would have been told to stand down and allow more burning, looting, etc.

A tweet that discusses possibles offensive operations against a unit is in fact intel. There is a process.



It is probably in the analysis stage right now to find out if it is in fact a credible threat. I mean I only went to MAGTF Intel School and Counter Intel School, so I have no idea what I am talking about.

It will be seen as a credible threat until it is determined not to be.

Non-U.S. citizens can join the U.S. military, but with specific requirements. To enlist, they must be lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) and meet other criteria, including possessing a high school diploma, being proficient in English, and having a valid Social Security number. Additionally, they must be legally and permanently resident in the U.S.

Republicans will play up this the same way.

There is undoubtably violence in areas of LA that needs to be dealt with quickly. But the whole city is not Mad Max right now and I very much doubt there is some planned assault on US marines.

Wife and I have been discussing this back and forth as the story continues to develop.

The protestors and rioters see themselves as fighting against tyranny and protecting vulnerable classes of people, but clearly their mindset has only gone so far.

When you read interviews from/about IRA members, they knew from the beginning that they were likely going to die as a result of their involvement. That same level of clarity is not present with these so-called "activists".

When you start throwing chunks of concrete at LEOs from above a bridge, it is an expected response for them to use live rounds. This will not begin to die down until there are actually bodies lying in the street and the "hehe we're such cool and badass activists fighting against the fascists" face the reality that they're putting their lives on the line for this.

And really to what end? Do they think they'll be able to stop ICE? That immigration regulation and deportations will end? This has not been thought out whatsoever.
No one should have to work to survive. Your right to life should not depend solely on your ability to produce capital.
