If you're a citizen and destroying property, partaking in attempted murder (throwing stones off bridges at cars isn't child's play), interrupting commerce and jeopardizing bystanders (blocking traffic)- you don't get a free pass because you're a citizen. VERY likely they have EXACTLY 0 rounds of any kind. It is just for show. Been there done that. Not for riots, but other times.

The 2000 soldiers that were protecting federal buildings where from an Infantry Brigade. 2 Infantry BN, 1 Field Artillery, 1 Engineer, 1 Calvary, 1 Support. As far as I can tell there is no military police in the brigade.

More than likely only a handful, maybe none are really trained in riot control. Maybe they took a class or the like, but not hard core physical training for riots. Not to mention, they only train 2 days(usually) a month and 2 weeks a year. ~40 days a year training. There is not a lot of training that can be done in 2 days a month, especially when you have classes, and other non training events that need to happen on a drill weekend.

You don't want some 18 year old fresh out of boot camp/AIT to get overzealous or scared and possibly start shooting. THAT is why it is a facade.

I would suspect the military members could easily be overrun, if the rioters wanted. They likely have little in the way of actual weapons on them besides using their weapon as a club.


Many in this sub want shooting to start. So this will be music to their ears.


Miller probably has a permanent smile right now. They've been dying for the protests against their goons to start so they could escalate with force. This day couldn't come fast enough for the Whitehouse.

I'm all for the rule of law - but there is no going back once bullets start flying. Innocents, whether you consider protesters innocent or not will get caught in the crossfire.

"Marines" are always capitalized.
