I've got no clue what happened here, but when an 84 year old woman is physically kidnapped from her bedroom, I'd be willing to bet it was by someone she knew REALLY well, not some rando.

I would be shocked if someone was pissed at Savannah Guthrie so they kidnapped and/or murdered her mom. Politics aside, that would be extremely crazy and absurd.

This seems more like a Reiner situation where someone close to Mom in her day to day life snapped for whatever reason. Reading between the lines at the press conference they more or less know what happened, but need to secure evidence.

In Arizona, kidnapping for Ransom was a big deal in the news a few years back, but it was the Mexican Drug Cartels holding illegals here in Phoenix they had smuggled across the border for ransom. They would contact the families and make them pay a few thousand dollars to release the family member.

Never heard of any American Citizens being kidnapped or involved in any of that though. This is a strange story, hope she is found safe...

1) It was mentioned earlier that she takes daily meds that missing would quickly be detrimental to her health. So I have to question were the meds left behind or taken with?
2) If a child were involved, even passively I have trouble with the idea that she was roughed up...

The only way I'd see a sibling involvement would be a possible outright murder, possibly going after a Life Insurance policy OR to get hands on inheritance.

That's what I was saying (or trying to). I don't see them roughing her up. You're correct, she would have willingly gone with either of them. That also ties back to point 1... Even if just the BF, and even if by false pretense, she would have prepped a bag and taken her meds with her.

Have they questioned the daughter Annie and her boyfriend? She's the one who dropped her off after dinner. And did they not walk her in?

I wonder if it was just a break in gone wrong. She showed back up at home too early and the burglar took her out..Something of that nature? What's bad is there is tons of empty desert around Tuscon and Phoenix, they may never find her if that was the case...Hopefully, the traffic cameras or Ring Cameras in the area help them find someone.

I think that just means her embedded or worn pacemaker was last in range (via Bluetooth) with her iPhone, etc. at around 2am and then the connection was lost. Translation, she was likely removed from the home around 2am. Not following how any sophistication is demonstrated here.

Leaving her devices behind. Could just be they were in a hurry. Could have been she was asleep and did not have anything on her person. Could have been the abductors made sure to leave all communicating devices behind.

Another point brought up by Faulkner is whether the abductors were smart in disabling their devices. So let's say it was caregiver, did they remember to disable their phones before getting near the house? If regular caregiver, they likely connected to the WiFi at the house. If so, that may identify the perps. Even if unknown subs, then the phones and similar would likely attempt to connect to her networks and may leave a trail.

My only reference was about connectivity and traceability and could give lots of indication on planning and preparation. That is all.

I believe the likelihood that the old lady is still alive is very low. I think she was probably deceased within hours of being taken.
