Probably fake, but I'd bet the note demands payment in Bitcoin since that is what most scammers want nowadays.

Some scammer tried to get me one time and they said I had to pay with bit coin - I laughed at them and hung up but it sounded real enough that I listened to them for 15 minutes or so - they said I had a warrant and needed to pay $3000 to have the warrant removed - it was some made up BS about taxes or something -don't remember all the details

My brother almost got fooled by a scam involving a very realistic ai audio clip of his son's voice calling him from the jail in his college town. Was a very sophisticated setup with people playing the part of the prosecutor and the clerk at the jail on separate calls claiming his son was driving drunk and hit a pregnant woman. Wasn't until they wanted him to bail him out in bitcoin that it triggered him to call his son's cell hone and he answered from his desk at work.

That is why one should never answer calls from an unknown number. It can be a scammer just trying to get a voice recording so they can then fake it and try to scam a family member.

But if you've left a voicemail in your own voice, it really doesn't matter if you answer.

Yeah bitcoin is the biggest red flag. If you bond out with a bonding company they will just take about anything of value. If you bond out with the Sheriff's office, most if not all want cash or cashiers check in the full amount, some might allow credit cards, most all want the cash. Luckily your brother didn't fall for that scam, because many would have.

No, they will say how wonderful it is for Savannah and how Trump is trying to take all the credit for it.

They will never admit their wrongs. It's just who they are. They fight for Maryland dads who beat their wives and trade humans as chattel but not a tear for a murdered nursing student in Georgia.

Their evil, its at their core.

He "looks cartel" but I'm fairly certain he's a 6th grade teacher. Annie Guthrie is a commission only jeweler and marketing director for a feminist organization. Both Annie and Savannah and also their brother were all very close with their mom. Again, that seems like it's just internet sleuth ****posting.

Walter White was a teacher too.

WOW..
@TVAshleigh
just reported that law enforcement has just seized Savannah's sister, Annie Guthrie's vehicle. She claims that her source tells her that Annie's husband, Tommaso Cioni is rumored to be a suspect in #NancyGuthrie disappearance.

We saw earlier that the FBI had visited Annie Guthrie and her husband, Tommaso Cioni's residence about ten minutes away from Nancy Guthrie's home. Annie and Tommaso were reportedly the last people to see Nancy alive and dropped her off at her home between 9:30 and 9:45 pm on 1/31.

Ashleigh reports that Nancy's multiple Nest cameras were deliberately smashed and that the forced entry was through the back door which was left wide open. This could explain why they were being so cagey about the cameras earlier today.

It would also align with the Sheriff's statements that he felt this was targeted and that there was no threat to the public. Hopefully we will hear more soon from Sheriff Nanos.

Despite this extremely dark turn, still praying for a miracle that Nancy is ok

Yeah, this is just another horrifying story of family violence it is starting to sound like.

And, if it's not this couple at all, where have they been this entire time, I haven't seen them covered at all in any of this media coverage? Police/FBI should have all the cell phone records/data from the carrier(s) involved by now. Ironically the woman was posting 'f%ck ICE' 6 days ago on facebook (LOL), so we know she's not real bright.

Mrs. Guthrie might have done the unthinkable and mentioned in passing a sliver of support for ICE or Trump, and pushed the nutbag over the edge.

(Still hope and pray they find the woman in good health, which of course is looking less likely)

I knew they were involved the second I saw it as well. I mean, look at him.

And her being a Marketing Director for a feminist organization in 2026 means she's automatically insane. By default.

From Grok+, brief summary of the other daughter and her husband.

Quote:

Key details about Cioni from reports:
He is originally from Italy (born June 18, 1975, in San Giovanni Valdarno, according to an older bio associated with him on the Tapirulan Cultural Association website).
He has lived in Tucson since 2006.
His personal bio describes interests in writing, studying lizards, playing electric bass, and making homemade pasta.
Professionally, he works as a teacher at BASIS Oro Valley School (a charter school in Arizona), where he is a primary instructor for 6th-grade science and AP biology (per LinkedIn references in news coverage).
Annie Guthrie (his wife) is a published poet/author (e.g., book The Good Dark) who has described him positively in past interviews as her "greatest teacher," a "great manifester," and someone who "writes poetry with his lifestyle."

considering the vast majority of these types of crimes are when the victim knew the attackers-

it's not a huge leap.

I have been watching some true crime 48 hours podcasts of police interrogations and it's always the family/ex husband/ex wife/ neighbor

someone who knows the victim.

I keep hearing this could be about inheritance. How much is she worth? Also, with the way technology is, it would basically seem impossible to get away with murder.

They may have already asked Savannah and been denied. Maybe they are terrible with money and she got tired of baling them out, he is a teacher and his wife doesn't seem to be in a high income profession yet they moved into a $650k home not far from the MIL and are probably stretched financially. Easier to keep hitting up the elderly Mom for money because parents are likely to be more sympathetic to your money problems since regardless of age they always think of you as their baby.

They didn't impound that car from the daughter Annie for laughs and giggles. My guess the CSI boys hit it with some luminol and found blood traces. That car is now evidence. If the vehicle was used to snatch the mom' it's likely a newer model and can be tracked via the EDR

The ransom notes are either scammers or perhaps a distraction to throw them off the scent

If it was the daughter and SIL you have to question their plan. If it was about inheritance why remove the mom from the house? If a kidnap for ransom were they expecting Savannah to pay out the millions into Bitcoin? I have watched enough of the ID channel to know kidnap for ransom doesn't end well for either party very often. I can't think of a single event where the kidnappers got away with the crime with the money. Even if you get the money how do you access the money and spend it in a way that doesn't alert the police?

This is most easily explained by the fact that the vast majority of criminals are very stupid people. They do not have the IQ or strategic planning capability to be successful with these endeavors especially in a surveilled society like ours.
