I'm pretty sure the furniture store in Welborn (Furniture Source Internatiinal) is a money laundering powerhouse.

Went there once and was given "sipping tequila" by an employee before browsing. When I saw the prices I thought, "I'd need a lot more of this to purchase something in here."

Man do I miss Harley's. Shopped there quite a lot and was always offered wine or booze by someone! R.I.P. Mike Yamada.

I heard somewhere Star furniture is going to build on the bypass by La Z boy

I wouldn't be surprised to see a closing sale at La Z Boy. Seems there are rarely any cars in the lot.

It's ridiculously overpriced. My wife and I went in there a couple of weekends ago. You can get the same furniture in other stores for significantly less money.

I'm speaking of La-Z-Boy.

I can find the exact same La-Z-Boy recliners in other furniture stores for a LOT less money. Like half.

Went in there this past weekend with my elderly Dad. He wanted a lift chair.
They were crazy prices. He still bought one, because the "Memorial Day Sale" took $1,500 off his $3,200 chair.

I just kept my mouth shut and vowed to never buy anything in there.

Furniture has a huge markup, like 100% to 400%.

The only business I can think of that has a higher margin is software.

Liquor?

Liquor is a relatively small margin. Jewelry on the other hand. Yikes

I would guess cocaine, X, and Molly are marked up quite a bit as well. I wouldn't know though lol. Not even sure if these are different drugs or not.
I hope I did not offend anybody with this post. If I did, please come see me at my address in my profile so we can talk.

How much is a bottle of that same tequila?

How many shots in a bottle?

okay, I should have said, legitimate businesses...

I'm sure recreational pharmaceutical products have high margins as well.

Don't change, TexAgs...

Friends own liquor stores and they say the margin is like 5%. Don't know the markup.

Haraz Coffee House had a "Soft Opening" banner outside of it today. Don't know if that was announcing a date soon or if it's already open.

Well politics aside, I've been to a Haraz in Nashville and it was incredibly good. Can't wait for this one!
