flying out of DFW today at any point is going to very very problematic as the winds are supposed to be strong all day. Only the heaviest aircraft will be able to tolerate the crosswinds on the main runways. That leaves only the two crosswind runways available for most flights.

Finally got hit in McKinney out of nowhere. Power went in and out a few times. Strong sideways rain for about ten minutes now.

Sirens just went off. First time I can remember them actually going off for something storm related here in my almost three years here.

Pretty nasty in Lancaster. Heavy rain and lightning. Yard dog is inside. He's not a fan of the big show.

It has died down in coppell, have been without power for at least 30 minutes.

Yep. Took out half of my back fence from what I can see. Still no power. Hoping no damage to roof

Was expecting a lot worse, but only got 15 minutes of high wind and rain. Brief power flicker, and that was it

Luckily kept power in Coppell. Fairly big tree limb down in the front. Looks like a roof exhaust cap down in the back. Hoping that's it for now.

Thought I could make it to the jobsite getting ahead of it driving east. I quickly turned around and made it home as it was blowing into Prosper. Saw at least 4 power flashes off to the west of Dallas parkway. Construction barricades and porta potties all in the road. No power at the house and surrounding hoods. I literally couldn't see a thin driving in a pop up storm ahead of the front in Frisco. Got to love spring in the DFW

I saw one green flash off to the north from me right as things were spinning up at my place near Windhaven and Midway.

Already hearing of coworkers in Carrollton, Plano, and Frisco without power. No idea how we made it through unscathed when there are outages surrounding us on all sides

There was a whole shipping container that had been blown out onto the frontage road in North McKinney.

My offset smoker blew off the patio into the backyard and my wooden barstools are across the yard

Just did a walk around here in Coppell. We survived with no damage (excluding a dirty pool). Thinking that the trees having no leaves helped immensely with their aerodynamics. DFW is operational; flights taking off to the north (for now).

Had to head to work before it got light, but did see some shingles on the ground which I presume are off my roof. Do you just get someone out to replace the shingles or is the whole roof in trouble?

Damage not too bad… broken window, fence down, gutter damage… shingles in my yard…. Not 100% sure they are all mine, but at least some are.

0.6'' rain in Farmers Branch, no damage to my property thankfully. Wind was gnarly but I was expecting more thunder/lightening. I agree with the no leaves comment...that def helped minimize destruction

Totally depends. Hopefully just a spot situation. Get an honest roofer to take a look.

If your roof isn't leaking, you might consider waiting until the spring storms are over. Then, definitely get a roofer to make an inspection. You can get as many different companies to inspect your roof as you want. Don't let the first company con you into signing them up. You make the decision of who you want to use. They may even offer to make a quick free repair for you if you're missing shingles.

If you get a new roof, just know that it can be inconvenient for 1-2 days while the work is going on, and hopefully your insurance company treats you fairly.

Still no power here in McKinney, since about 5 am. Had two storage cabinets blow into the pool but luckily no major tree damage. Several large trees down in the neighborhood though and I'm sure it's the cause of our outage.

Made it to Charlotte. Hopefully into Louisville on time.

Also, no power at my home in Flo Mo since 5 am

DFW airport is now under a traffic management program due to the wind. Very limited slots as only crosswind runways are operational. Must be a hell of a ride if you get a slot.

We had a lot of rain and it's been windy, but no real issues in SW Fort Worth.

Looks kind of like a dust storm headed into FW from the west.
