Not storm related, but holy **** it's hot. Even yesterday when I was working in the garage and it was in the low 80s I was sweating buckets. Feels like a gulf coast August day outside right now.

I'm just happy I haven't had to run the sprinklers once this year and we haven't had a 100 degree day past July 4th.

My tomatoes are still going apes***, as are the peppers. The hydrangeas are still colorful and no plants are dying (outside my zucchini that seemed sickly in April)

I was still getting tomatoes last year at Christmas. Early blight got them this year.

Down and back to CS today. Strangest drive home ever in the weather - pockets of absolute pouring with low visibility hydroplane level rain followed by some sun and totally dry pavement. Over and over again for the full drive. Last stretch was at Tollway and Legacy where it was absolutely pouring and massively slowing traffic then totally dry at Tollway/121 overpass
