The number of roofers that try to cold sell after hailstorms is gross. Also in Cleburne, our roof appears to be fine per a builder friend of mine, yet like 10 roofers in 2 days have been combing the neighborhood saying it's totaled and they'll negotiate with the insurance company.
Gross

Got an upgrade for significant hail possible tomorrow - 3/12.
Action starts early, mid-afternoon to evening.
You may know this already - but I am assuming someone else reading may not so figured I would shareThe Collective said:FTAG 2000 said:

Always hard for me to read these maps without the county lines or interstates, but for reference the dividing line between 5% & 15% chance is right around Dallas/Plano. Right now, chances look pretty low for those west of central Tarrant.
. Do people actually hire the ".roofers" that just show up at your front door immediately after a storm? I checked the video on my security system and noticed about 6 guys came by the house on Monday and left their business cards/information. One guy came by later in the afternoon and left his card. At the same time, he gathered up all the information left on porch and took it all away so I wouldn't know who came by earlier.Yesterday said:The Shank Ag said:

#1 reason our home insurance is through the roof. Pun intended.

In Johnson county so it may be different further north, but there's a ton of dust but gusts aren't reaching anywhere what they did a couple weeks ago. More like a strong June/July wind. 15-20 sustained with a 30-40 very short gust. Honestly way better than I expected. With heavy winds predicted out of west-southwest and my three 80 year old pecan trees all that direction of my house, I was worried. Not so much anymore.
