I was heading east on 114 in Southlake and a big jet was taking off heading NW directly into a W wind. It damn near looked like it was flying sideways.
My electric gate which faces west won't even stay closed. The wind just pushes it open.

I drove by the little airport by the Plano off the tollway and there was a small plan upside down in the grass by the road. Crazy.

Lot of damage at my work up at Alliance. Keep in mind these aircraft containers can weigh 800 to 1,000 lbs empty. They were thrown around like paperclips. There are multiple containers on the roof of the warehouse and pretty clear a large number of them were lifted and thrown into the sides of the building. Also had toppled semis in the yard.
And just a few hundred yards from us at the airport.....

I'm the opposite. I'm the back end of a west facing cul de sac so I got alllll my neighbors remaining leaves piled up against my house. Yay. Thought I was done with leaves.
My pool has approximately one billion leaves in it right now.

When I got home from work, I'd lost about 25 ft of fence and a dozen shingles.
Since I've been home this afternoon, I've lost another 50 ft of fence and I don't want to know what the roof looks like. This sustained wind is brutal. I can't remember anything like it.

Survived last night's thunderstorms south of Dallas, but lost power about 8:30 tonight. Got the gennie running the fridges and freezer. Bag time.

Guess I should add it helped in the front yard yard. The back yard and pool not so much. Pool looks like it does in the fall.
Traffic lights are a mess all over East Dallas.

Spring in North Texas. Could be 25mph from the south or north. Depending on the hour. A golfers paradise
