Was in Weatherford tonight so saw the storm approaching. Usually good at this stuff but almost made a miscalculation while doing a little storm chasing. Positioned myself on southwest side of QT awning. Ooops. Took a few wind driven tennis balls but windshield held up. Fun evening.

I apologize to everyone else who got slammed by rain, wind & hail last night. It was my fault.

After the 100% chance of morning rain didn't occur, I decided it was a great time to put out fertilizer on the lawn. Dammit.

Especially those that feel the need for their hazards to be on as soon as their wipers go on. Then to slow down 30mph regardless of what lane they are in.

Colleague told me he was at his grandparents' place in Millsap (west of Weatherford / north of 20), and he said it was solid hail... almost no rain. Terrifying.

Yard is mowed and sprinklers are off. Therefore it won't rain here 15 minutes north/northwest of Texas Motor Speedway. (Reverse psychology)

At Scout Camp (rising 4th and 5th graders) on the south side of Texoma. Getting a good light show and it started raining buckets about 20m ago. Starting to lighten up now.

Got 1.3" in about a half hour span. Truck won't fit in the garage so took it to the gas station because radar was showing 2" hail. Crazy lightning. Struck about 100ft from where I was parked and power went out. Pretty wild storm.

Sheets of heavy rain and wind here in Coppell from 10:15 to 11:15. No hail heard. Almost 3 inches in the rain gauge. Quite the lightning show back east of here now. Good luck everyone. DFW air traffic looks to be a mess on flight aware.
