He has just as good a trade chips considering the amount of control, the question is whether he would move them. HB seems irreplaceable given the state of our pitching staff but he'd get a huge haul. Similar for Pena, though you have to find a team with a need at SS. Paredes will get less but coming off a really good season with two years of cheap control would also net a nice package.BadAggie said:
We need the Dana who fleeced the Cubs in that trade doing something similar this winter but he won't have as good a trade chip to work with

Cal was so far out in front of that pitch and his swing was reaching and off time, yet he still hit it out.
I'll say it again, test that guy.

Baseball is so hypocritical. They tried to burn a franchise to the ground for a video and trashcan system yet they will blindly look away at guys who do incredibly abnormal things.

They turned a blind eye to Yankees and Red Sox doing the same thing.

Honestly. I get ripped on every MLB thread for even insinuating it. But how does dude go from a career high of 34 HRs to 60+ just overnight? There's lightning in a bottle. And there's that.

I'll ask my devil's advocate question I always ask.
If Yordan Alvarez had been healthy wire to wire and hit 61 HR this year, would you think he was on steroids?
Yordan's career high is 37 HR.

Highly doubt Cal is on steroids.
Baseball is a funny sport. He's dialed in and has been all year. Tip your cap. He likely won't come close to replicating this again.

Yordan has never been healthy wire to wire. Raleigh has. That comparison isn't apples to apples.
