He's hitting. 455. The teams have only played 4 games because of the flooding which hopefully has passed. I'm thinking of going to their game Wednesday afternoon.

He didn't catch it…bounced off his glove, then off the wall, and then back in his glove. Then nobody knew wtf to do on the bases.

Still can't get over how LAD fleeced the entire MLB by signing Ohtani $2M a year for 10 and deferring $680M. Let them sign Snell and two other top Japanese pitchers. What an absolute joke, but all the owners are making money so I guess no one cares or can't get the votes for change. Screw the freaking dodgers.

Astros regulars have been posting here for sure. I didn't see another thread active so that's certainly how I've used it. Real baseball will be over in a few days and it'll be mostly offseason talk then...

2017 - Jose Altuve slides across with the game-winner as Carlos Correa doubles against Aroldis Chapman for the 2-1 triumph over New York that puts Houston ahead, 2-0, in the A.L.C.S. Justin Verlander tosses a complete-game five-hitter with 13 strikeouts. Correa had also homered in the fifth for the Astros' only other run.


You know in some ways, this is the quintessential play of the last decade. Dummy Judge has no clue that Altuve is going to try and score and just lobs it into second base. Correa subtly gets in the way of the throw home by Gregorious. Sanchez shows that he's about as good a catcher as a dead cow, and Brett Boone comes out to complain about Correa. If that's not the 2010s Yankees in a nutshell, I don't know what is.

Altuve's speed here might be what I miss the most.
