As long as we are willing to shell out the cash, no issues getting a Top 10 transfer class.

Easier to shell out cash if you think it's worth it. Which we did last summer based more on emotion.

Do you think it's going to be the same this summer? Do you think matching offers will be enough or we have to pay more?

Just my guess but we will not win head to head battles this year with the top teams in the SEC. Maybe not even teams like Bama and OU if they pay the same this year. We are going to have to get lucky and hit on some pitching transfers that are not the obvious top ones to go after this year.

I disagree. If they think the coaches could benefit them in their draft year they will come. I think Pennington is important with the SS recruitment. They don't care about 2027 because they will be gone.

I think Earley won't get fired next year either barring a huge collapse. Obviously, this year didn't qualify.

No, I'm a better fan because I don't trash the coach or players. It's ok to say, we could've gotten a better coach, etc. It's not ok to call him trash. Do I think we could've possibly gotten someone better than Earley? Maybe, maybe not, but I don't make those decisions and I'll support who we have here.

Wasnt it alleged that we had the highest paid roster this past season? Obviosuly all of that is speculation at this point, but its not like this team was not well funded in the past and there is no indication that it wont be well funded in the future.

tech isnt spending **** on baseball. The problem is while we will spend, we stunk last season and got a coach on the hot seat, who was close to being fired after one year. That doesn't help.

A lot teams in our conference will spend on baseball and have a better situation going on right now.

I'm really not. While Aggie baseball adds some great entertainment to my life, in the end their success/failure and their decisions that contribute to it don't actually affect my overall quality of life.

However, I do believe being a good person is largely determined by how we treat and speak about other humans, no matter their immutable qualities or their position in life or their occupation. I will never agree with degrading another human, verbally or otherwise. *Especially* when the cause is of such little importance to anyone's ability to succeed or thrive in life.

And, yes. I consider calling someone "a trash HC" to be degrading. It is not hard to respectfully criticize or critique a person's work. Resorting to degrading terms is not only uncalled for, it's downright lazy. And, no, contributing to an institution monetarily doesn't give anyone the right to belittle or degrade another human being.

I know I will never be able to fully stop such behavior on here or anywhere else. But I can still call it out when I am able, if for no other reason than so others don't feel so alone.

He was a terrible head coach this year. Unlikely that changes next year. What difference is there between "trash HC" and "terrible HC"? The only difference I see is you reading some personal attack on him in one of them but not the other. Or are both over this rather arbitrary line for you? Do you expect every post critical of Earley to have a sentence or two about how great a guy he is so you know it's not personal?

By missing the post-season, we were gifted a bit of a head start on the portal while other teams are/were still playing. But we do not seem to be capitalizing on that with only two portal commits (that I am aware of anyway).

We have 2 commits from FAU (pitcher and OF iirc) and a Juco pitcher afaik

I believe we are up to 3 commits: two from FAU and one from Cowley. Not that that changes your point by much, but just wanted to be accurate.
