Jesus, Sleep Token officially blew up in 2023. In 2022 they were playing club gigs as openers, now today, I hop on presale for headling red rocks show at 10am, and it's sold out!

KWS is great. Saw him one time many years ago backed by Double Trouble. That was a fun show. Also saw an underage Kenny Wayne get up onstage at a sold out Candlebox club show in Deep Ellum to jam Petty's "Here Comes My Girl" during the encore.

Yesterday picked up a pair of BOC tickets for their March 16 show. My wife scoffed at the $116 pair price tag, but I assured her she's going (never has). First saw them in 1980 (Black and Blue Tour) and try to see them at least every few years. Being perpetually on tour makes that easy.

Sooo gooood.

I should take my wife. She was at the Woodlands show that halted after maybe three songs or whatever it was back in '99 or so. Not sure if she saw the makeup show.

You just reminded me about catching Ride here on Friday. House of Blues has BOGO free GA tix if anyone here needs something to do.

May have to catch Slowdive in Dallas instead of Houston due to a family conflict, but I'm not missing that tour.

Kinda want to see Mr. Big this weekend. Paul Gilbert is such a great player.

I hear bad things about the consistency of the sound at Rise Rooftop in Houston. It's good some shows, it's terrible other shows.

Not sure I want to spend money on a show if it's not going to have good sound. And not sure I want to travel this weekend. I wish this show was in a month or two.

I know, I'm so torn for the same reason. Rise is now under "new" management and supposedly there have been some good changes, but I have not been since they were doing those. Sure as hell hope they find some way to make that place not sound like a (very loud) freaking cavern.

Correct, it's now "Warehouse Live Midtown" instead of Rise Rooftop. They took it over at the end of last year.

I considered going in Houston but a buddy that sees a LOT of shows had warned about the sound being really inconsistent at that venue.

Turns out they had some sound issues and some in-ear monitor issues and my buddy left after an hour. The videos he shared of the first hour, Eric was struggling.

Glad they got it ironed out in Dallas. I saw that band maybe five times back when Lean Into It came out. Great album. They were always solid and freaking LOUD!

Eric sounded pretty good but skipped a large chunk of the super high notes. It was a fun show. First saw them back around 90-91 and again on their previous tour to come through Dallas.
