If it were a true derecho type of setup, yeah. Friend also said he got no hail in his area.

Hawk nest in the live oak in my front yard in Plano with hawks that hatched 2 weeks ago. Will be checking in a bit to see if I end up with baby hawks on the ground. Dumping lots of rain (.6 in less than 15-20 minutes) but otherwise no biggie so far. Peak gusts under 40. Right in the midst of the red.

The term Derecho was first used into the 1800s. Not exactly a new term. Just not something we see all that much in Texas

We are just west of southlake in Keller and have barely had a drop. Lots of lightning but otherwise nothing to speak of.

Was a small AA Envoy plane from ABQ, my guess is they were low on fuel and the ATC wanted to slide them in before the ground stop.

I get what the radar shows, but I'm in the red and honestly it was worse this past Tuesday/Wednesday. This is nothing.
This wall always breaks up here near southwest of downtown (Kessler Park). I've watched it do this like 5 or 6 times when the metroplex gets hammered.

Seems to be a dud so far in Alliance.
Rain picked up in Far North Dallas, but wind is 10-15mph.
Wondering if some of the popups ahead of it took a bit of steam out of it. Still a big-ass storm but may have taken enough teeth out of it. I think the biggest factor is those crazy winds they were worried about have mostly been in lightly populated areas north of dfw
SW Fort Worth is light rain mild wind.
