Sheesh. One of my best friends is a former Holmes-Rosenthal DA who used to sign up for intake every chance he got when he was single (easy money, little work). They would never in a million years under those DAs just cut someone loose who just killed someone.

I didn't say it was the most hood in HISD, did I? I said it is the hood.

In my eight years there, I was thrown on top of a desk in my room during a fight, broke up more than 20 fights (that is a very conservative number), had a kid with a gun in his backpack in my room, and was caught on the outskirts of a gang fight while I was pregnant that had to be broken up with pepper spray.

But yeah, it's a great school. Let me know when you send your kids.

Haha, I read that article this morning and meant to post it. The Dindu Nuffins hitting up Lululemon like crazy. When the classic Heights guy was like "a bunch of dudes ran in with trash bags" I LOL'd, because I was thinking I would have said "the usual suspects" and be banned from Lulu for life. The other thing is how they brazenly sell it in facebook… I just imagine a ratty paper tag Impala or Nissan hauling out onto Heights BLVD narrowly missing a cyclist or runner. Haha.
