In hindsight, possibly one the dumbest things we've ever seen.

You've got a humanitarian crisis in the Superdome and somehow these geniuses decide that they can improve the situation by bussing folks 350 miles west and cramming them in ANOTHER DOME.

Just because you have an unused dome, doesn't mean that you need to use an unused dome.

Second has to be constructing a gigantic Covid hospital tent in the Astrodome parking lot right next to the world's largest medical center (twice).

There were 73 road rage shootings in 2024. There are ~20MM licensed drivers in TX.

This is a complete and utter waste of resources. Why not put these cops in the areas of town that have the highest occurrences of assaults/murders? Three shootings in the last two weeks in the Galleria! The area of town that is supposed to be a shining star and tourist trap for visitors.

How about more resources to go after all the vehicle thefts? I know two people with vehicles stolen within the last two weeks. Cops take a report and file it away. They only do it for your insurance.

How many restaurant parking lots are covered with smashed glass because there's smash and grabs on a weekly, if not daily, occurrence.

Whitmire should do better.

Well how about Houston call upon the DPS for that then? Don't need to use city resources to do it. It's just a money grab.

1. First of all, Metro cops are a step below constables and school cops. They left a door open and the kid hauled ass from the cop car.
2. Shocking but not shocking mom deflects kids or family responsibility to not be tangled up in a bus stop shooting because he was supposed to be a grandmom's house.
