He was a direct from high school kid and was actually a pretty decent player for a while. Kind of ahead of his time in some ways as a positionless and switchable wing. Because he was left handed, I always followed him and Michael Redd as my favorite non-Spurs.

Of course Ginobili is the GOAT lefty

Oh yeah, I remember him, he was a lot of fun to watch. Those young Hawks teams weren't good, but fun to watch. Him, Joe Johnson, Josh Childress. I just never would have guessed him as the youngest to get 500 blocks. I'd probably go Garnett, since he started really young and played every game for that awful Wolves team, even though he usually never topped 2/game.

I might have mentioned this at some point over the years but the mention of Josh Childress compels me to say that I sat near him at a Nuggets game (the playoff game where Camby stole Timmy's DPOY) and he had the most perfectly spherical afro I've ever seen in my lifetime and it was huge.

His Afro was amazing and probably the most memorable thing about him.

I remember being excited about Childress and Shaun Livingston in that draft. Two skinny guards.

Really disappointed with Bryant this season. Went to a game and saw him live a few weeks ago and he looked so lost. They didn't even let him sit on the front row of the bench.

Giannis was booing his own fans last game. Milwaukee messed up big time by not cashing out on him before they stupidly signed Turner and stretched Dame. Now they are going to suck and have no financial flexibility. As you said on the other thread, having the flexibility to eat bad contracts in exchange for picks is going to be the new way to super charge a rebuild.

Now Milwaukee sucks, has none of their own picks and no financial flexibility.

In that pic, it looks like Corliss Williamson is coaching him from the bench. Seems more useful than him sitting and watching the game if he isn't going back in.

We knew he was raw, but I never expected him to be this raw.

Imagine if we could have been the team that fleeced NO when they wanted to trade up for Queen. I still like Bryant but he's much further away from being a productive player than most of us thought.

At this point I'm not sure why we don't let Bryant play a few weeks in the gleague and gain some more confidence working over some scrubs. He looked way more comfortable in the summer league and maybe he's just not ready for primetime yet.
