JT was hitting everything and putting like a blind person; his partner didn't matter this morning.

The other problem is, if you look at all 24 players and said "pick your 12 for a ryder cup style event" I'm picking Scottie, Bryson & 6 Euros. I'd probably end up taking Xander over Fitzpatrick but I'd think about it for a while.

imo it should be a pure merit system based upon the current year's results with an emphasis on the 3 months leading up to the Ryder Cup.

I've been watching on tape delay and almost caught up.

I feel like we had two buckets of players with questionable outlooks this weekend. Some experienced guys who weren't in good form and some inexperienced guys in form.

We went with the first bucket this morning and wow was it bad. JT, Morikawa and English don't need to see the course again until singles. The course is setup to make birdies and those guys aren't playing nearly well enough to make them in bunches.

The slight silver lining is our guys who have been playing good golf the last couple months are off this afternoon. I think all four guys who sat this morning are capable of taking it low. Alot of pressure on them though, because if we get wiped this afternoon too, it's bleak. But whoever plays well this afternoon should be prepped to play 36 tomorrow.

I was raked over the coals weeks ago when I said that it would be a mistake to have jt on the team. He has not been a clutch player in years. He has the most talent but he is a mental trainwreck. That is not what we need in this event. He did not hit too many decent shots today. His putting has been horrible and it was again today.

I disagree. I think he should've sat this morning. I had him chalked as only a 4ball player, he's too volatile for foursomes. Keegan wanted to go for this hype group to kick it off and that was a mistake.

Format doesn't matter right now; he is struggling with his game and in a pressure cooker like the Ryder Cup, you won't be useful against this competition
