US needs to have a captain over a longer time period and dedicated to the Ryder Cup. These pairings are bad. Henley and English aren't elite and negated anything Scheffler could do.

Not too many years ago, my cart partner (who was 5 handicap at the time) made a 9 on the first hole of the MGA Championship. It was an easy par 5 that gave up a number of birdies and very few bogeys.

If you were going for the vibes pairing, you do it this afternoon in fourball. Would've been fun as hell to see those two go try and make a bunch of birdies. But also don't know behind the scenes how many options there are with Bryson and the golf ball.

The US Ryder Cup team needs to be changed in how they select players. Ryder Cup points shouldn't start until the year of the Cup. Cut down on captains picks to maybe 1. That would cut down on the boys club crap and you would get the guys playing the best that year. Tell the players to take their input and shove it.
Pairings are irrelevant here. Scheffler is a disaster in the Ryder Cup. His strength shows up in tournaments over 4 days. He just doesn't make mistakes and then runs away with it late on Sundays. The 1pt at a time and one match at a time negates Scottie's strength

Get this thing to Sunday within 1-2 points and give it hell. They're just better than us, especially in sessions where they only have to play 8 guys.

Not sure if JT does, but I think Cam and Bryson's are very similar if not the same, both are some sort of very spinny prototype ProV
Ball didn't matter as much this morning though. Announcers said, along with lift/clean/place, they were able to change the ball if they wanted
Obviously, we need to hit the fairway to do that, which we didn't do much of
