I'd add that Scheffler is 0-3-1 at the Presidents Cup. 1 of his 2 wins and 1 of his ties across both events is in singles. He's solidifying himself as a lone wolf who sucks ass in team matches. He may just be a guy that needs be in his own, focused, solitary world.

I definitely bench him in 4somes. We'll just see how the rest of this goes for 4ball, but leaning toward a day off there too. Sometimes you just get beat vs play poorly, but I'd like to see him show something

Of the 8 that played in that format today, there are probably 3-4 you want to sit next time. Of the 4 you sat this morning there are probably only 1-2 that you'd feel comfortable playing in that format. With Scottie's ball striking he has to play; and hope he lines out the putting this evening.

The Euro's have gotten some lucky bounces out of the thick stuff today. Rory just got lucky there.
Exactly, he missed that one putt and then proceeds to go beast mode for the next 3 holes.
Neither Burns or Cantlay were even close on that par 3. Meanwhile, Lowry and Rory attack the pin, and one of them has a very makeable birdie.
Foursomes issue might be something the newly formed USGA national team needs to address over time. Go look at Walker Cup results, we consistently beat them pretty handily in singles. The foursomes points the last 3 have either been tied or in favor of GB&I. This year GB&I won foursome 5-3 over two sessions. We won the Walker Cup 17-9, so clearly a better team, just couldn't handle the format. On the NLU doc the players talk about how they've literally just never played alternate shot until they qualify for that event.
I've been watching on and off at work. the crowd seems pretty tame. I get that the US isn't doing much but I expected much more noise. Does that seem accurate to everyone else watching?

What are they supposed to cheer for? I mean Kyle Field isn't exactly intimidating if we're down a couple scores in the first quarter.
But they're not cheering against either. It just seems dead out there. Its gone too corporate.
