Apparently JT missed another green. Is he going to be like Speith in Rome, this ryder cup? Dragging down whoever he gets paired with.
The Scheffler/Henley pairing is a great one if you operate under the assumption that Henley is going to make putts, as he is statistically one of the best putters in the world. This is the Ryder Cup though, so of course he's putting that dog****, which makes him pretty much useless as a partner to anyone.

I understand why he (keegs) didn't pick himself but my god he would've helped this team. Besides Bryson there is nobody with any dog in them to show some emotion and get the fans riled up. This is shaping up to be a boring Ryder Cup. again.

I predicted 2.5-1.5 this morning for the Euros but that was with red white and bite glasses on. Should have gone with my gut of 3-1. Morokawa and JT in the morning was just dumb. And Henley as well.

Sure looks like one team practiced on these greens in advance and the other didnt. Except JT, he practices putting all the time and still sucks at it.

They're just there to collect their checks like any other PGA event now. Need to keep the USA team unpaid to make guys actually care about the competition
Colin Morikawa being on this team at all made no sense. Short hitter, hasn't played well in 6 months and is a terrible putter (or at least has been this year). He had no business being a captains pick, Keegan should be playing in that slot.

The US team always does this. They pick 1 or 2 guys that haven't played well in months, or over a year, giving them the benefit of the doubt due to winning a match or 2 in past ryder cups. They then put them out there often. Those guys seem to always kill us.

Agreed. I understand the flier picks when there is an obvious statistical reason or characteristic -- like massive length or experience on the course or familiarity with the region -- but Morikawa doesn't have any of those things going for him. His game has really not been sharp this year.
Keegan would have been the best flier pick -- from the NE, has played well lately, is a big time energy and leadership guy.

It's statistically worse with Henley teeing off on the odds.
