Its because Euros aren't putting like this is a 72 hole stroke play tourney. They don't leave it short. Rory hit one like 8 feet by the hole yesterday trying to slam it in

Keegan is no more friends with the Americans than Luke is with the Europeans players. That's not the issue.

Europe has a plan. America never does. You would never see Europe send out their worst possible pairing or have a guy like Scheffler play the even holes.

Europe has a much tighter team. They get their top guys to buy in. They squeeze juice out of the bottom guys on the team.

Europe has a team that relishes the moment and thrives under pressure. America has the best player in the world lose 9&8 and leave the course crying.

It isn't just golf either.

Its across most international sports. Americans still try to brute force their way to victory with better athletes (like long hitters), but internationals have caught up with us in that aspect and can easily hang. Plus they've already learned to be more tactical
