This first hole is a microcosm of bad course setup decisions by the US side. No penalty for errant tee shots. The US team doesn't really have a distance advantage over Europe anymore so they shouldn't take away the penalty of missing the fairway by cutting the rough down. Rant over

They should bake out Muirfield Village and play it there or something. Would be way better than this patch of soggy crap in NY
This course set up probably would've sucked no matter what, but it really sucks with this rain.
