Southern California is really northern Mexico at this point. Would love to see detailed links between cartels and California politicians.

We wake up this morning to politicians spitting at each other all over the news. Bunch of worthless people. All of them. Both sides inciting who did what all for political means while the real protestors sat on the streets and the criminal element thugs, local and the ones bussed in did some damage and then scattered like cockroaches into the night. Same ol crap every 4 years. We should all be used to this. The only way to stop this is take out all foreign and domestic criminals on the streets. But we all know the politicians don't have the hairy balls to do it so the grift goes on.

We've really got to get some of these people charged and held accountable. Too many republicans are lacking the courage to go after the Marxists in our ranks.

Dollars to fund them. These "rioters" are funded by NGOS that Biden was giving our tax dollars too. None of this is "organic" anymore - all left wing organizations given our tax money. No wonder the LA police don't stop it, the state is sponsoring it all
Not only that. But I'll bet there's funding in this Big Beautiful Bill for them as well.

When you see them burn American flags, proudly waive their Mexican flags, then the liberal women are in hijabs and masked, waving Palestinian flags, I have little sympathy. Let's it burn, and deport the survivors to either Mexico or Gaza.

Undoubtedly. Trump (and Rubio) had their chance to shut down the National Endowment for Democracy (Karen Bass was number two official, oh btw) but have completely failed to do so.

NG can't unless the Insurrection Act is invoked. While serious, I'm not sure that these actions, even the very dangerous rock throwing bull**** and the fireworks crap, rise to that level. If a federal LEO or NG gets killed, that would probably do it.

I respectfully disagree, this is an organized, national threat, and while LA has the brightest light on it right now (alone, note it would be larger than 42 states' populations), just letting it fester mainly there as it metastasizes as well in our own back yard organized and funded by our same enemies, is/would be a mistake.

This is an interesting play by our enemies, after Russiagate, 'Very fine people', the 'perfect conversation' with Zelensky (Ciaramella/Vindman impeachment hoax), Mueller, lawfare trials between terms, and of course Fauci flu as well as assassination attempts on him, among others. I should also mention the present infection of injunctions against him as well, from running the executive branch.

He is challenged to deal strongly with this insurrection (funded and organized often via foreign and domestic enemies alike), and the enemies involved, or is passive about it. So far, he has chosen mostly passivity, perhaps a result of not trusting the FBI/DoJ still. I don't really know why, but I hope he changes course as any weakness in this long-term will result in only an escalating situation/rebellion, imho.

Get it together, DJT, and call an emergency wartime cabinet meeting. This is a war on the republic itself, not just a riot in LA.

Look, I don't necessarily disagree but we have big bright red lines when it comes to military use for certain things for a reason. A bunch of very, very good reasons. I'm 100% for surging resources and taking more out and if California can't control it then declaring an insurrection. Fine. But we're not at that state yet. This isn't the same as Minneapolis post George Floyd. I'm as sick and tired of all the illegals and this bull**** as anyone but invoking the Insurrection Act that lightly isn't something that should be considered without something very specific to tie it to. A federal building burning for instance.

Now that sucks. But it's the way this works because you still have to convince the normies in Podunk Suburb USA that it's justified.

Right but you don't use soldiers, guard or otherwise, to do that. Now again, the situation escalates from riots, which these are, to insurrection, like seizing buildings, or burning down the detention center, or killing NG/Federal LEO, then yeah. Okay that's a different story. A riot and a rebellion are not the same. This is getting relatively close, especially with the failure of local government to handle the issue, but I don't believe we're there yet and I think it would cost Trump and all of the US more than we would gain at this point.

No one is. This is the way it always goes and I knew it before it started and said so. I got jumped on and told to "stfu" when I was downplaying everything when many on here were clearly excited for the start of a war. I said a small number of people would be arrested and that's it while others seemed to be anticipating that the military would be calling in air strikes at any minute. It was nuts here so I bowed out. Came back this morning to see I was right as always about this stuff.

No one is going to be spraying real bullets at those idiots no matter what, so the constant tangible excitement of escalation around here is pointless. "Oooh they're throwing rocks!", "Now they blocked a highway!", "Now they set a fire!" It all sucks and those people and their leaders are crap, but the obvious "NOW can we please start shooting???" sentiments here were also a bit unhinged. Justify it all you want, but my point is it's not happening regardless so there's no point in cheering for it or getting in the weeds of a play by play. This whole thing is always predictable on both sides.

A declaration of national emergency allows the NG to provide intelligence to ICE, and ICE can make the arrests (i.e. arrest those funding these riots, and provide ICE with locations of these people). I don't see that happening either, and it easily could.

The last thing you want is LAPD or LACSD arresting them. They will be bailed out and back on the streets before the sun rises and any charges will be dropped within days. We need federal law enforcement arresting people for the federal crimes and keeping them in federal detention under the jurisdiction of federal judges. These people need to stop getting a slap on the wrist every time they do this and start spending hard time in Federal PMITA prison.

Insurrection Act allows the president to deploy U.S. armed forces domestically to address civil unrest or enforce the law in a crisis.
