My little brother and his prom date managed to get caught up on prom night in Galveston on Kappa weekend. Not sure how it happened, I think they were eating in Keemah and he got turned around (he was never good with directions, way before GPS era) and ended up in Galveston. Guess he figured that he knew where he was and would go home down the seawall and Blue Water Highway through Surfside.
He chose poorly. I don't think they ever even made the actual dance and they ended up having prom dinner at Whataburger in Clute. At least it's a good story now, but pretty sure he was trying not to shart himself and trying to hide it from his date, who was terrified the entire time.

I remember about 2010 or so when what is now the defunct Tejas Grill was something else at the corner of Lamar and San Jacinto that we were having a happy hour.
