I had so much hope for us hiring Sweeney away from Dallas as our DC but we are still doubling off three point shooters to protect the paint like it's 1999.
It's tiresome. And completely stupid. Only way it's worse is when Wemby is playing and our perimeter guys leave to help him and we get to watch teams drop threes on our heads.
So what is it? Is it strategy? Or are our players too dumb to understand not leaving shooters? And if so, at what point do you bench them for being too stupid to understand don't leave your man?
Please tell me at what age we should expect our guys to figure out ehat other players of similar age on other teams have figured out. At some point it's just a bull**** excuse for either crap coaching or players too dumb to understand the basics of defense that get taught in fourth grade rec basketball.
