So apparently Giannis removed pretty much all references /images of the Bucks from his IG today. Just more fuel for the rumors he's going to ask for a trade "again"
Yeah, and they are just a .500 team when he plays, but he has missed 6 games, too.
Atlanta controls their pick this year and next year (Jrue trade to New Orleans, then the DJM and Queen trades) and then Portland controls their picks in 28-30 (Dame trade.)
Also, even if you clear out a bunch of salary (and they still have 3y83M of Myles Turner, 1y20M of Kuzma, 2y30M of Portis and you have to pay Dame $22M a year for the next 5 years for stretching him) you still are ****ed.
What a complete cluster.
Yeah they need to blow it up. Windhorst confirmed today that Giannis requested a trade prior to the season, then "swallowed his pride and committed to the season" provided they are winning….well…
I think they do something with Hawks and a 3rd team.
Send the 2026 Pelicans/Bucks pick to Milwaukee with Risacher, Dyson, Asa Newell
Send Trae Young to 3rd team for more picks/young players for Milwaukee
You could do a big 4-team deal where Trae goes to Portland, Jrue goes to Minn, Giannis and Kuzma go to Atlanta, and lots of young players and picks go to Milwaukee. Then Milwaukee gets its picks back from Portland, has the chance to get two picks in the top 5 with their own and NOLA's from ATL.
Milwaukee ends up with Kristaps (ending salary, can be traded), Risacher, Dyson Daniels, Asa Newell, Donte DiV and Terrence Shannon. Donte gets flipped for more picks. Then you rebuild around Pelicans 26, Bucks 26, Rollins, Green, Risacher, Daniels, Newell. Trade Myles Turner for something, too, since he has some value and his contract is reasonable for a D&3 center.
