Adams. Man's man. So chill about it, too. Glad that Ime learned from game 4 and left him in when GS went to the Hack-an-Adams. That strategy reeks of desperation, and Ime let them wallow in it this time.
Amen. Figuring out playoff basketball, and it's a beautiful thing. Under control. Driving hard. Mid-range looks nice. And there's always the defense… He got a crash course in playing 2 guys with all the tricks in Curry and Butler. He seems to he a fast learner. Beautiful.
Sengun. Kind of ditto to Amen. Awesome work rate on the court, filling up the stat sheet in a meaningful way.
Eason. Terror twin doing terror twin things. Finding his shot and really playing with controlled aggression now.
Smith. Really hunting his shot coming off the bench. Playing his role to a T and doing it with a great attitude.
Brooks. Worst game of the series, IMO. He has a role to play but he can't do it getting 4 quck, and mostly silly fouls. I like that Ime kept him on the bench after foul #4. I noticed Brooks never put his warm-ups back on… I like that attitude and he stayed engaged, providing his edginess from the bench. I saw him talking ip Alpy when I think he was upset to be sat down.
Jalen. I'm impressed that he found ways to contribute tonight with his shot being off. To me, that's growth. Had a block, 5 boards, went 5-6 from the FT line. Contributor on an off night. That's what pros do.

This is why you overpay for FVV. He's been there. He always plays hard. He's a leader. Gotta have that guy on the team.

Exactly. We had the cap space so was big to get someone like him in. Team option this offseason so can sign and trade if there is another piece out there that makes more sense and need salaries to match up.
Will be very interesting to see what Rockets do this offseason. Lot of young pieces + picks they could trade to get a KD/Giannis or another legit vet.

Just from my outsider perspective, I think you need to make that move for a #1 option and try to work a deal for FVV where you decline the option, but give him a 3-4 year deal with the expectation he is probably going to be a locker room leader/bench guard on a contending team. Caruso just got a 4y81M deal from OKC and I think that is a fair comparison to what you would want FVV's role for the most part to be unless he is super hot. FVV should have a bigger role than Caruso in OKC, but not quite as big as FVV had this year. I think FVV is a much better shooter off the catch, so a player like Book that can create would help him a lot.
Then it is figuring out that #1 go to scorer. I think Book is the bet to make and you move Green, PHX picks and whatever else. I know that Giannis might be on the market, but he is a bit older and I think his game is more athleticism dependent.
