I mean sure we'd take the SLG from the top of the order, because we clearly lacked there this year.

But the approach is from the bottom of the order is incredible. They are just pesky and put so much stress o nthe pitcher to the perfect. Seems like a bunch of JAGs mostly but they do really well with 2 strikes and RISP. Reminds me of us in the recent past.

How far back does history go? Bob Gibson had 3 more dominant outings in one WS. Yesage was very good but not one of the most dominating outings in WS history.

I've often said that baseball is not a sport, it's a relational database management system where table data is generated by ten dudes standing in a field.

And when it comes to nerdy sports, there is none involving more nerdy math and stats than baseball. Almost to the extent that its not even a sport, its just nerds comparing numbers with each other.

That doesn't sound outrageous for Framber... if he wasn't such a head-case I would be OK with the Astros signing him for that.

That AAV seems about right but man 6 years of Framber would be a lot.

Hell seems like 4 would be a lot. That'd probably be the max I'd want to commit to.

Complete opposite actually. Most teams around the league are worried how he'll do adjusting to a new clubhouse, etc.

Bregman had a great season, but he's no spring chicken. I could see him getting 6/156 (Astros offer) again. If you factor in last season it comes to 7/188 after laving Houston. That's respectable.

The mid-tier SP market might be the way to go. Lugo, Gray, Eovaldi, & Kikuchi all look like reasonable deals.

I think 2/26 is selling him short. I could easily see more like 3/45-50. He had a monster year.
