Do you have a sense for why these guys are bailing out now? Is it just that we don't have positions to move them up into so they are leaving for advancement? Or is it something (or someone) more systemic in our farm system or developmental structure that is causing guys to look elsewhere?

And what would it take (besides buckets of cash that we are not paying Framber) to reassemble Luhnow's organization and analytics teams?

While Luhnow was the original architect behind the success, the one thing we never saw from him was his ability to maintain a dynasty. He tore it down, flooded the system with prospects, and then supplemented the roster with free agents. He never had to handle resigning star players or managing the luxury tax. Could he have kept it going? Would he have wanted to? At some point, would he have left to start over elsewhere? We'll never know.

It may not be good, but almost every front office guy that leaves is going to be a "not good" reply because there has been sustained success, and when people leave, it brings a chance for the success to be broken since you have to hit on the next guy.

The way I look it is you're not going to stop these front office guys from leaving to go to a place for a chance at upward advancement and more money. It may not be good, but if the structure and ultimate leadership is there, you shouldn't have to worry all that much. The train can still roll on.

Maddox going to the Angels on a one year deal working under a new manager also with a one year deal makes me think he will retire after the 2026 season. If I recall I think he and his brother Greg grew up in California.

Didn't look very stuck to me… I get it's the rule but that was dumb. It's not like it was stuck at the top of the wall or in the middle of it (like the one at Minute Maid a few years ago)

It was the best outcome for them. Ball doesn't bounce away. I know it's the rule but that was barely in there. It should be reviewable after you try and make the play as well
