Yep, Kentucky looked flat right out of the gate. Georgia was more fired up. It probably helps that they were playing at home.

A little change of subject, but Aiyana is a great young lady and deserves this honor. She had a great season. I wish it had worked here, but hopefully she will be back for her degree.

Our dip into California talent is because of Coach Ford's years of recruiting in California with Arizona State, Fresno State and St. Mary's. I would expect that to continue

Thanks for posting the screenshot about Aiyana Coleman. She's an A&M Consol product and grew up an Aggie fan and achieved a dream when she signed with the Aggies. I am very happy for her to have found success after A&M! I wonder if we will see TX State in the CS Regional again?

A post a few days ago by one of the best in the softball forum included this: "A&M has a less than stellar record at the SEC tournament." My immediate thought was "he's right, we've been terrible". I decided to go back and check how terrible:

A&M SEC tournament results (Evans to 2022, Ford since 2023)

Fun watching the RPI after each game. Oregon moved outside the top 16 RPI for now and Alabama move in

I had Miss St not hosting before the tournament and this loss likely cements that because they were close

Big time walk off for Arkansas. With 6 SEC teams in the top 8 RPI and none of them are Texas you don't want to be the team the committee can easily bump out

that was a no doubter. tough break for Georgia. but to your point, I am sorry, but hide and watch. some SEC school is going to get the short straw to "allow" that other school into the top 8 IMHO.

No doubt Texas is in and someone is out as of now. I have that school as LSU for now. If they decide to limit top 8 seeds to 5 then 2 teams in top 7 are out and it gets interesting which 2. The Tennessee Arkansas game may have a bearing on that

Walk off for Arky was hit by Bri Ellis. Originally committed to Ags (legacy with Ag parents), but previous A&M regime snubbed her with a reduced scholly offer and she went to Auburn. Was SEC freshman of year there before transferring to Arky. Best hitter in the country. Could have and SHOULD have been an Ag.

Lots of umps do it but you can't always hear that in the stadium or tv. I have mostly had tv muted. Maybe they have umps mic'd. Seems like they do at the WCWS

There was a funny one earlier when the Arkansas player got hit and he called it as her leaning into it so no base. She took off running to first and he was hollering "come back! Come back here! Come back here!!"

I've never watched much softball until this yr SEC tourney. Never realized how exciting it is. Crazy to me how little time the outfielders have to react to a line drive!

For me it is irrelevant. USCe is a better team in my opinion but we don't need the rpi help. If USCe wins they will close the gap by more than half between them and tu but I plan to win tomorrow so that won't matter. They will only pass tu if Ole Miss knocks off tu tomorrow and they beat us.

If that happens the seeding will get interesting hard to push texas past 3 sec schools to give them a top 8. Still likely happens though

Initial thought is South Carolina just because we faced Alabama already.
However, I really don't think it matters that much .

I'm just rooting for this game to go into extra innings.
