We will probably still field a solid team but ttu and ou are throwing so much money into softball its insane. This year was probably our best to compete to for a natty (2-1 against the finalists), and well, we saw how that went.

I guess we need some former Aggie softballer to hook up with a mega rich dude.

I hope so but we are definitely underdogs when it comes to softball nil in our region (way behind ttu, ou, and tu).

Of course, everyone is leaving for money. Do you think Canady was enamored with lubbock (and I say that as someone who generally likes lubbock well enough)? These girls are getting 10x more for one year than they would over career as a softball pro.

You cannot fault it. It's probably not good overall for college athletics but this is the environment the NCAA has wrought.

About Amari. An Andy is mentioned here, I have heard her mention him but have not paid enough attention to know who he is. Assume a boyfriend. Is he an Aggie athlete? What class? If he is graduating is she just transferring to follow him? This would fit because I really do not see her transferring without something like that going on because she loves/loved being an Aggie and playing on the team. And everyone really respected her.

I am not surprised Berzon is going to Norman. It will be tough on everyone else if they also get that UCLA pitcher, too, because they already had a good staff after Landry.

Her boyfriend is Andy Garcia. Played on the basketball team. He was in the outfield catching HRs at some of the games.

Andy Garcia from the basketball team, graduated this year. I don't what his plans are.

Thanks! I saw him make a really great running catch one day and heard someone say his name was Andy but I do not follow basketball so did not know. Just checked the BB roster and he is a senior. If he graduated then that's probably the reason for her leaving. Sooo, still really sad about her leaving but I understand. She will really be missed by everyone!

D1 Softball shows Harley Vestal signed with Texas State. Our two transfers last year signed with them and both started. Harley will probably start for the next three years and do really well. I hope she does. And she will be in the outfield with Keely.

A regular poster says to take ON3 with a grain of salt and I agree. That said, one of the two starting pitchers for UCLA in the portal, Kaitlyn Terry, has received offers from Tech and OU. If Tech gets her they will have a great pitcher to go with Canady. If OU gets her, they will have another great pitcher joining their usually great staff, which will now include Berzon.
