Fair opinion, but your point of wasting OL careers still makes no sense. Is Dallas not supposed to draft all pros when they're there to take?
It's not the drafting of all pro OLs that's the problem…it's that they spend so much on them that they can't put better playmakers around them…

During 2024 season, only had 6 blown blocks on 740 blocking plays – his blown block percentage of 0.8% was the 2nd-lowest in the SEC.
A small uptick in penalties this past season…
I think Booker is good, but this means nothing considering he was blocking for one of the most athletic QBs of all time.

No, zero chance they ignore WR. I would love for us to trade up and get Hampton but think they will be content with one of the Ohio State guys if we go RB in round 2.
RB class is deeper than the WR class though. And we need both.
I'm looking at this as a 2+ year rebuild, not fully expecting to make noise this coming season. With that in mind, taking Booker and shoring up the OL makes sense. Get a stud RB in round 2, then another explosive playmaker next year.
Seattle take Zabel. They were no doubt PISSED when Dallas took Booker.
I thought they would be a team that would trade up to Dallas to get Oline. Instead they sit there and take the next guy.

Booker doing an interview on Cowboys.com. They asked him who he looked up to as an offensive lineman and he immediately said Larry Allen.

What would Dallas have to trade to get back into the late 20s to possibly get Golden or Egbuka?
I think people believed Golden's speed wasn't real, ie. didn't translate to the field and more his get off than pure top speed.
Egbuka now off the table.
The NFL is a copycat league....the Super Bowl was won/lost in the trenches so here you have it.

Agreed. Wasn't sold on Golden either, I was an Egbuka guy. We all talked trade, but as we've seen, NOBODY is trading for guys in this draft other than for Hunter.
As far as a standing still and making a pick goes, Booker is fine. It's not what I wanted, but there is nothing wrong with drafting a plug and play starter at any position. Booker has upside to be a pro bowler so it's fine.
This is nothing new. The Eagles didn't revolutionize the game by building a team from the inside out. They just did it better than everybody else.Peter Klaven said:

A lot of these kids that are serious about sports spend a ton of time studying the greats on YouTube.
He didn't watch him play live, but no doubt he's studied Allen.

We knew Hampton wouldn't make it to 44, but 12 was too high for him
Booker and what we hope is a bad ass oline might be blocking for no name RBs.
