It's been a pretty impressive offseason considering they are allergic to signing big deals

Voch and Broaddus both claiming that their sources say we are done at RB. And that isn't a surprise... we have some young legs and a couple retread vets.

Perhaps they will revisit this before the trade deadline, but right now it appears this is the group we'll go to camp with.

Now that he's been cut, any interest in throwing Clowney on the D-line?

Not sure where he fits. As much as I liked the 2nd round pick, he's a rotation piece because we have an abundance of DE and pass rushers right now..

Too bad Clowny isn't a good 1 Tech DT... I'd be all over that.
Before the 2nd round pick, I'm not sure I'd agree with that.

You've got Micah............ and then? Armstrong is gone. Tank is gone. Fowler is getting older. Sam Williams coming off a big injury. Overshown likely doesn't play this year.

Kneeland? Osa is an interior pass rusher.

We needed a proven 2nd pass rusher and we got one. Micah isn't invincible and we saw what the lack of him being on the field last year did.

Problem with Clowney is he takes up a roster spot and won't do anything other than play about 12-15 snaps a game and likely not make an impact.

I'm fine with it honestly. I'm still very much in the camp that a large majority of RBs are a dime a dozen, and as long as you have a good o line in front of them they will be just fine. You just need to make sure you have a well rounded RB room in terms of skillset.

Yea I like their RB room. I watched Mafah for 4 years be a beast at Clemson and I assume he will be the 15-20 carries guy, Blue fills the role of homerun hitter on the edge and in the passing game, and one of Williams/Sanders is the 3rd down veteran of the locker room. That leaves a 4th spot either for the fullback Liepke or the tiny back who never gets any looks. Not sure both Sanders and Williams make the game day roster barring injury.

Yeah it has been. Being able to draft what we assume is a plug and play starter and solidifying the O-line was a great start. Following that up with what 'draft experts' think were slam dunk 2nd & 3rd round players was also solid.

It still wasn't enough though and I had no reason to believe they would actually fill the WR void... that was the last glaring hole on the roster and by golly they fixed it.

Lot's of things that still need to work out or fall into place, but we're giving ourselves a chance at least.

Do you think the Mannings will pull strings again to get Arch there?

I don't hate the Saints but if they go Manning just because of his name they'll be back to the Aints all over again. Fans will turn on them right away. No idea how good he really is. Not enough playing time.

That's exactly why he won't come out regardless of what happens this season. He whole family has said he needs two full years as the starting QB and we all know he doesn't need money.

I like it. Win or lose I think the team can learn a lot about themselves and make improvements going forward. Hopefully we catch Philly napping off a Super Bowl hangover.

Glad to get the @ Philly game done early. We always seem to end up there late in the season in the cold.

The Cowboys win nearly two thirds of their Thanksgiving Day games despite the matchup routinely being a marquee one against a good team through their history.

My goodness some of you

Losing record in the last 15 years. Nobody gives a **** about Tom Landry coached games. Recent history is reality.

The NFL did Dallas no favors, with a late season 4 week juggernaut of Phili, KC, Det, and Minn.....

What I don't understand is how they keep doing that stupid $*** every year where we play on Thanskgiving day and then turn around and have ANOTHER Thursday night game the very next week.

Yeah, but the league is 100% concerned about player safety.

In terms of overall schedule and teams we are playing, it's always a crap shoot every year. Who knows who will be good/bad next year and/or which teams will suffer devastating injuries (and do we get to play them before or after they lose key starters).

I think it's probably safe to assume Detroit and Philly will be strong teams next year. Washington could very easily have a QB/Head Coach Sophomore slump next year. The Vikings could/should come back down to earth. KC is surely going to fall off at some point as well.

Cowboys just need to stay healthy and hope our new coaching staff will ignite this roster like DQ did in Washington last year.

So we still have a week between games? And then 10 days after that one?

Yes, but we should get the extended 10 day rest after our 1st Thursday game instead of making us do it again!

It's like trying to catch up on sleep, you aren't going to feel better until you get that extended rest.

Problem is 3 games in 12 days.

I think that's part of the deal for always hosting that home game on Thanksgiving though...the short week before at least. The 2nd Thursday in a row is probably more of an anomaly given all the streaming slots and having 6 primetime games.

But the benefit is that you can hopefully win 3 games in that 12 days and then enjoy a 10 day break.

Imagine you spent all that time complaining about Dak's contract, only to have to deal with the fact that BROCK PURDY is about to be making $5 million more per year than he is.

Complaints about contracts for QBs always always always age like milk.
